Background
Mr C (44) was living with his partner and suffering with Motor Neurone Disease, so was unable to manage the steep flight of stairs at his family home.
Project Objectives
The aim of the project was to allow easier access for Mr C to the upstairs of the home where the bathroom and bedroom are located.
The family did not want major changes to the home.
A chairlift was not suitable for Mr C to sit on and a lift was not possible.
Baronmead Solution
Baronmead’s solution was to recommend and supply a Scalacombi S36 mobile stairclimber which allowed Mr C to stay seated in comfort, while ascending and descending the stairs of his home.
Our solution included delivery, training for carers at his home and an ongoing service contract.
